Gravity's Rainbow

 Has anyone read this? I'm about halfway through it, while reading the GR Companion side-by-side. I find the immensity of research and detail to be fascinating, but the writing style to be absolutely lacking. In fact, I find it much like Ulysses by James Joyce, if you take out the fascinating detail. You're left with a badly written book. Of course, that's my opinion. He should have read more Hemingway instead of studying under Nabokov.
