It looks like I'll be doing nanowrimo alone this year. My friend C. has moved onto bigger and better things, and I really can't convince anyone else to pursue writing for a month. Either they have no interest in writing, no ideas for writing, or feel they're too busy to write daily. It happens.
And most of my friends, quite frankly, just aren't interested in either writing or bothering to know what I'm writing. Maybe that means I write crappy...? Stick to what I know, I suppose. I don't want this to be the last year I do nanowrimo.
I know I'd fail in achieving the goal so I choose not to try! :)

I do not think that the fact that your friends are not interested in writing or about your writing is a reflection on you. It is a sad reflection on how busy people are. Keep writing! If you love it, are passionate about it, then it is a good thing to do!! My photographs may never hang in a museum but I keep taking them because I love photography!

I could never commit to something like NaNoWriMo - I'm impressed by those of you who do. best I can do is NaBloPoMo.
I hope this is not the last year you do NaNoWriMo; its a good exercise in commitment, discipline, and writing even when the muse is being fickle.
best of luck!

No worries, Mariser. I'll keep at it. I couldn't do NaBloPoMo, mainly because I can't think of what to say every day. I saw you might be leaving FB, but I hope you'll be sticking around here in the blog world.
